Fibre Optic Cabling
Lijack provide a range of fibre optic cabling products and solutions including various types of single and multi mode fibre cable, together with low loss connectors and couplings for joining and terminating fibre cabling. We also supply fibre patch leads and patch panels which include a range of daptors to accommodate both single mode and multi mode optical fibre. Fibre optic cabling is used extensively in campus and inter-office premise networks.
Fibre Optic Cabling
There are two main types of optical fibre - single mode and multi mode. Single mode fibre is well suited to high bandwidth telecommunications applications operating at up to 2.5Gb/s over long distances (often over 80km). In contrast, multimode fibre has lower usable bandwidth and is generally used over shorter distances for inter building trunks and LAN backbones.
The range of Multimode fibre patch leads includes 62.5/125 (OM1), 50/125 (OM2) and 50/125 (OM3) and are offered with range of different connectors and configurations to facilitate easy patch panel to communications equipment connectivity.
We offer a range of quality optical fibre products for professional applications including 62.5/125 OM1, 50/125 OM2 and 50/125 OM3 MM optical fibre cable together with 9/125 OS1 single mode cable. Optical fibre is available in tight buffered, rugged, armoured, loose tube and armoured loose tube configurations (with single and multi core options) to suit both internal and external data communications environments.
Our Loaded and Unloaded rack mounted fibre patch panels are supplied with all connector types and various numbers of ST or SC Duplex ports. The fibre patch panels come in various 1U or 2U 19 inch rack and wall mount configurations. We can supply a fibre optic patching or splicing panel to suit most requirements.
Lijack provide a range of lightweight, handheld fibre optic test sets for undertaking a simple continuity check (including a visible red laser source for faultfinding and optical fibre network testing). We also supply test kit for carrying out more complex cable fibre insertion loss and power measurements. Our advanced test sets support single mode and multi mode fibre installations and come with various adaptors and 50uM and 62.5uM mandrels.
